Frequently Asked Questions
Finding the right physician for you requires some background information. Here are quick answers to the questions we get most often.
Telehealth is an important part of how Dr. Susan Baker provides care for her patients. Telehealth is available for:
- Regular follow-up appointments that don’t require an in-office exam
- Initial new patient consultations, which we follow up with an in-office exam during a later visit
It’s best to schedule these appointments in person:
- Infusion (biologic) therapy
- In-office procedures, including joint injections
- Necessary/urgent follow-up visits
- New patient examinations
- Annual physicals (please note we will perform your history over Telehealth first to minimize your exposure in our office and follow it with an in-office exam on a later day)
- Pre-operative examinations
Yes, Dr. Baker is always accepting new patients. Whether you’re in need of a regular check-up, ongoing primary care, or support for a complex condition, we’ll help you determine if our practice best suits your needs. We know a visit to the doctor can be overwhelming. To ease your experience, you can download a New Patient Form to complete in advance, so we can keep the visit focused solely on your care. The health and safety of patients and staff is always our top priority. Because of this, we take the following COVID precautions:
- Patients with any recent or current symptoms that may indicate COVID-19 will not be allowed in the office.
- Patients must fill out and pass a health screening before an in-office appointment.
- Please take your temperature before you leave your home the morning of your appointment. If your temperature is off by 1 degree from normal, you’ll need to reschedule.
- No one is allowed to accompany you to your visit. Other visitors must remain outside the office.
- Patients must complete all paperwork electronically or over the phone before their appointment.
- You must arrive on time for your appointment, or we will reschedule it. Please note that our front door remains locked.
- When you arrive, please knock on the door or call us. If you’re early, you’ll need to wait outside or in your car.
- All patients must bring and wear a mask and gloves to their appointment.
- When you arrive, we will take your temperature immediately and escort you directly into a patient room. We are limiting our office visits to only one patient in the office at a time.
- We clean our rooms thoroughly before and after each appointment. All staff wear full personal protective equipment as well.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask us. We are here for you during this difficult time.
